I stand in the wings of the stage watching and listening to You perform. Those standing in the wings with me have also had their time on stage. Before You took center stage and started to play, those of us in the wings were critical and proud, jealous and arrogant. We could only see ourselves and how we thought we stacked up to the others. But then You started to play, and as we heard You play, our jaws dropped. None of us can play like that. And when we heard You play, all of us watching from the wings realized that our differences were not important, our pride was unfounded, and our jealousy and arrogance were totally out of place. When You play and we hear what that sounds like, our hearts and desires turn to You as if a magnetic force has pulled us all in the same direction. We are no longer concerned about our rankings with each other. We have heard the Master play and all of us are humbled. Only those who have never heard the Master play still want center stage, and when they cannot be there, grumble in the wings.
