This morning, I pulled into the Leavenworth, KS Wendy's and ordered a cup of coffee. When I pulled up to the window, a young man poked his head out of the window with my coffee in his hand and asked for my name. I replied and he said that I had been coming there a lot and that my coffee was on him. What a tremendous blessing in such a small act. I thanked him profusely and pulled away.
Too often in this success driven culture we live in we see people in the service industry looked down on. This young man blessed me from the station in life where he was.
This culture has enough ungrateful people in it. It was nice to see a young man who liked his job and decided to be different.
Be a blessing no matter where you are. Blessing begets blessing and therefore the true key to success is to serve others.
Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)
23 Whatever work you do, put yourself into it, as those who are serving not merely other people, but the Lord. 24 Remember that as your reward, you will receive the inheritance from the Lord. You are slaving for the Lord, for the Messiah.
